BCF is Celebrating 20 Years!!!

CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHERS

This is a special call for choreographers interested in presenting work in the Black Choreographers Festival: Here & Now – 2025 (BCF).

 

General Info:

Dates for BCF’s New Voices/New Works

Saturday, March 1 & Sunday, March 2

Location: Dance Mission Theater, 3316 - 24th Street

 

 

If you are interested in this opportunity to present choreography in BCF’s New Voices/New Works program – please see the application form to complete and submit.

 

Participating in this program provides selected artists with performance opportunity, publicity, tech support, and a videographer and photographer to document performances.

 

Choreographers interested in taking part in the showcase are required to have 2 years of professional presentations of your choreography to apply for this opportunity.

  • Complete the application form. Click here:  application form. 

  • Provide a video sample* (youtube or vimeo link)

  • Submit application and video sample of recent work by the due date, August 30, 2024 to: bcfnextwave@gmail.com

  • BCF will notify choreographers the week of September 23, 2024.

  • Selected artists will be assigned a performance date(s) based on BCF’s overall programming.

*Video samples should show a true representation of the type of work you would like to present.
